PUT A SPRING INTO YOUR FUNDRAISING

Spring has sprung, and to celebrate, we thought we’d share some top tips on how charities are using ThinkDonate to make their fundraising efforts really blossom!

DonatePage

The Jubilee Sailing Trust was recently in urgent need of raising funds, so they created a ThinkDonate DonatePage with easy payment options, including Apple and Google Pay. The charity shared the link on their social media channels and included it in a press release which was picked up by the media, including ITV. This helped spread the word and generate a high volume of donations, enabling supporters to donate in the moment.

The Royal British Legion wanted to give their Twitter community an easy and engaging way to donate during the annual Poppy Appeal. With ‘#PoppyDonate’ followers were able to get involved in a meaningful way by using the hashtag to donate in the moment, in the Legion’s Twitter feed.

FoodCycle pinned a powerful case study post on Twitter and LinkedIn, with the fundraising hashtag ‘#DonateAMeal’. And when followers were moved to donate, all they had to do was use the hashtag in the charity’s Twitter and LinkedIn feed to receive an instant reply with a link to donate. The result? A compelling story that inspired quick and impactful action, when people were feeling most inspired.

ImpactDonate

During Maternal Mental Health Awareness Week, Panda’s Foundation wanted to seize the moment and encourage people to take action and donate. So, they created an ImpactDonate page, showing how different donation amounts can make a difference. Personalised thank you messages for each donation amount enhanced the donor experience and surprised the 42% of donors who don’t expect to be thanked for their donations.

QRDonate

Disability Snowsports wanted to maximise donations ahead of the ski season. The charity used a QRDonate code from ThinkDonate to simplify the donation process for supporters at fundraising events. Scanning the code opened a customised DonatePage, making it super simple to donate. Posters and leaflets promoting the code were also used, making it the ideal solution at events, where less people carry cash, and card machines are in short supply.
